Sometimes you just gotta go the extra mile, sometimes we just have to buy a bunch of singles overseas / down under to deliver you new releases from upcoming bands. Oh yes, sometimes they are a bit expensive, but well, it is just money!!!!

Pressed locally in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Limited edition opaque red! These records are dual speed records, meaning that due to a happy accident at the pressing plant, side A was cut at 45RPM and side B was cut at 33RPM, so they’re already rarities, we’ve never heard of this before. The jackets were hand screen printed by the band, the centre labels stamped by hand, and each record comes with an A3 lyric poster, download code, and a Licklash sticker! 

Licklash are a punk band from Melbourne/Naarm, Australia founded by Kahlia Parker & Carsten Bruhn in 2022.

The project began to take shape in 2020, while Parker was struggling through not only COVID lockdowns, but also the disbandment of her first band, which she founded and fronted, the feminist punk act Girl Germs. With a lot of anger, a bunch of leftover songs, and a thirst for a new direction, she enlisted the help of her long-term partner, Bruhn (founder of the independent record label Roolette Records). The two soon forged a new, bigger, and bitier sound and put together a band to perform these carefully crafted fast and raw punk songs.

Their debut EP 'Big Smile' was recorded at home and performed by just Parker and Bruhn on all instruments. Mixed and mastered by Bruhn, whose previous engineering credits include The Vovos, culte, and more, this DIY EP sounds anything but. The band has created a distinctive and lively sound on a shoestring budget
