New band, familiar faces — The Clubs bring together members of PATROL, SLANDER TONGUE, LES LULLIES and KLAVO for a debut 7” packed with tight power-pop rock’n’roll and just the right amount of garage-punk bite.
This new outfit delivers four hook-heavy, fast-moving songs with sharp melodies, buzzing guitars, and punchy rhythms. Think a mix of the jangly charm of THE PLIMSOULS, the gritty urgency of the UNI BOYS, and the infectious energy of THE LEMON TWIGS.
This is the kind of 7” that sells itself once it’s on the turntable — short, loud, catchy, and gone before you know it. But i have the feeling there is a lot more coming from these lads.
