DORIS DEATH - Total Mass Consumption 7"
When do you ever find a totally unreleased MONSTER? From 1974!!!
AUSTRALIA!!! And then the stories is so killer....I mean...This reads so
good it has to be made up:
DORIS DEATH was one of the first punk bands to play and record in
Sydney, Australia during 1974 / 75. The played art shows and parties and
recorded a bunch of songs before their singer went to jail...
Well luckily for us there was a quote from a certain ROB YOUNGER made in 1974...
„I love the sheer abrasiveness of Doris Death's attack. This song is a news flash from Hell.“
And yes... we contacted Rob Younger and he confirmed and was kind enough
to let us use his raving words for our Public Releations News Bulletin.
How about that for a reference!!!???
Musically... the title track „Total Mass Consumption“ is like the Velvet
Undergrounds „Heard Her Call My Name“ on Electric Eels. And yes - these
are heavy words! This should be called Total Mass Destruction
really....
The B side with "Twilight Zone" and "Glam Bam" are more of friendly
neighbourhood bubblegum drug synth buddy paired with an - yeah - outro
from the glam stage. We dig... but the monies are on the absolute flabbergasting A-Side!
As always...do not trust us... check out the Tax Scam Band Camp for
yourselves, but always remember: "It ain't worth a damn...if it ain't a
TAX SCAM!!!!!
Tax Scam would like to Thank Rob Younger (Radio Birdman), Raymond Ahn (Hard-Ons) and Ian McFarlane for their Help.
